Backed by a team driven by resilience and a commitment to innovation, Hondo Resources delivers solutions that not only meet your requirements but also surpass industry standards, reinforcing safety, efficiency, and environmental stewardship.

Hondo Resources is equipped to handle the drive over contaminants of any dimensions for oil and gas companies in the Permian Basin. Whether you need temporary drive over containments for the small spills of vehicle or machine storage or a secured, robust system for long-term use, Hondo Resources has the expertise and options to provide the right solution.

Drive Over Containment Innovative Design and Robust Construction

The Drive Over Foam Wall Containment units are specifically engineered to handle heavy-duty applications, effectively preventing oil and chemical spills. Constructed from 36 mil plastic with woven cloth threads and Rip-Stop technology, these containments offer reliable spill prevention for foam walls with heights of  4″, 6″, 8″, or 12″ with optional valve installation for enhanced functionality. The walls of the drive over container are made from a high-tensile, dense foam which allows the wall strong reinforcement to keep its form over time even with several drive overs.

Our containment floor dimensions come in multiple sizes, capable of handling significant volumes:

  • 4′ x 4′ x 4″ with 39-gallon capacity
  • 6′ x 8′ x 4″ with 119-gallon capacity
  • 8′ x 10′ x 4″ with 199-gallon capacity
  • Larger sizes available up to 12′ x 50′ x 4″ with 1496-gallon capacity
  • Custom sizes available for any project

The drive over container foam walls and bottom liners are made from strong PVC material or Urethane material. These two types of woven fabric are extremely resistant to harsh chemicals. The weight of the PVC liner comes in 22 ounces or 30 ounces. The weight of the Urethane liner is 40 ounces. A higher-weighted material allows the containment to be cleaned and reused for several applications.

  • High acidity and alkaline chemical resistance
  • Valve installation (optional)
  • Lightweight & Tough
  • Easy drive over entry and exit from the container

Hondo Resources leverages innovation in our industry by partnering with the best-engineered inventions in the market. We use Muscle Wall’s 1-foot drive-over technology in our 12-inch plus jobs. Their specialty product is made from post-industrial and post-consumer commingled recycled plastics and is built tough to withstand temperatures from -40* F to 180* F.

The 6-Inch / 1-Foot Muscle Wall is creatively designed with a liner clip, which was engineered to safely slide over the liner and security snap in place. The drive-over containment wall’s 6-inch and 1-foot liner clip design nearly eliminates the risk of liner tenting. Even though it is tall, the muscle wall was designed to be used for drive-over secondary containment or drive-over whole-site containment. Tested and proven to withstand daily drive-over traffic on construction sites, the Muscle Wall will make a great addition to your project site in the Permian Basin.

Drive Over Containment Enhanced Specifications and Capacity for Extreme Performance

Our Foam Wall, Drive Over Secondary Spill Containments are at the forefront of containment technology. Known for their lightweight design and easy setup, these mats require minimal storage space due to their patented modular design.

All materials used have rip-resistant technology which prevents small and large expanding tears. This allows Hondo Resources to come out and make easy repair and patch jobs in the field in case a tear occurs.

They are proven to be strong and reliable in the demanding conditions of Texas oilfields, making them ideal for a variety of uses including vehicle washdown areas, industrial equipment, fuel transfer stations, and HAZMAT spill responses.

Drive over containment can withstand short-term contact with liquid materials from a small leak or spill, but if you need a drive over containment built for long-term storage, we can innovate something to meet the needs of your project.

Drive Over Containment Customization and Quality Control

At Hondo, we understand that each project has unique requirements. That’s why we offer custom sizes and high-capacity spill containment options to ensure we meet the exact needs of your job.

Our Drive Over Containments are not only portable but also built with high chemical resistance and a puncture rating comparable to 60 mil HDPE, ensuring they can withstand the toughest site conditions and also lightweight for mobility.

Foam isn’t the only material we offer for secondary containment, we also offer containments with aluminum angle walls, air-inflated walls, and even a combo of multiple materials.

How do drive over containments work?

Vehicles can easily drive over the top of a foam wall, which bounces back to vehicles simply roll right over the top of the foam wall. The foam wall bounces back into place after being momentarily crushed when the wheels of a vehicle and/or machinery roll into the mat area. These low-profile foam walls are great for dealing with small leaks or small spills that drip out of tanks, machines, or vehicles.

Some advantages of using drive over contaminants are:

  • Portable for Transportation to and from Locations
  • Compact Storage for multiple jobs
  • Fast Setup and Easy Breakdown
  • Flexible Material for Compact Storage
  • Allows Vehicles to Drive Directly into the Container
  • High Resistance to Range of Liquids
  • Large Storage Area for Multiple Tanks or Large Tankers
  • Custom Sizing and Containment OptionsEasy to Clean
